Life Through a Woman's Eyes

By GoofGirl69

Everything I see, is all that I now see,
yet, nothing I see, is there to be.

All That I know now, is not everything I will know then,
yet, nothing I know, is worth it to me.

I long to become something more to see, a future,
a bride, a mother to be.

Hidden inside this dark gloomy room, waiting to see,
my prince, my friend, coming for me.

Standing at the alter, my prince at my side, I feel as if I have seen all
the truth, out of the lies.

We are married now, blessed union of souls, but what
I know, may not be all there is to be told.

I am a mother now, as I was likely to be, a mother
of one, and also a mother to be.

I have taught my children all that I learned, only to
gather more as time draws near, for there father and me.

He is gone, torn apart from me, gone to a place that includes not me.
At least not yet, for I have still to be set free.

My children mourn, but with great knowledge taught by me,
all that they now know, they will learn, is not all that will be.

mother
